Drug abuse is one of the major social problems. Teenagers get involved in this deadly habit because of peer pressure or curiosity. It will not only affect them mentally, it is also very harmful for the whole body. In several cases people are sent to the rehabilitation centres.
•    Teenagers are more curious to try new things in their life, new words, so they are dying to try out drugs.
•    They like challenges from every aspect. Drugs to them are a form of disobedience, a way of “sticking it to the man”. That is one of the reasons they like to indulge in it.
•    They like to follow every step of their role models like rock stars, whatever they are doing teenagers are loved to do that. If they idolise a rock star with a drug habit then they would also like to use drugs just like their idols.
•    They like to experiment with new things in life; they are not at all concerned with what the consequences will be.
•    Because of over confidence some teenagers are indulging themselves in drug consuming.
•    They take drugs if the environment they are staying is problematic. They try to escape the problems in their life or other problems in their life.
•    They get inspired from that different/unusual trance like state.
•    Teenagers suffering from mental disorders have a tendency to get hooked on drugs.
•    To maintain a figure or as a method of weight loss they take drugs.
•    When teenagers get cheated in love or get ditched they usually get involved in drug abuse.
•    Even to escape failures in life they use drugs.
