How to Talk to Your Man So He’ll listen

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

This is a very old complaint of most of the women of the world that their guys don’t listen to them or they don’t understand their feelings but the fact is that guys are not always on the wrong side as it might be that the method of conveying your feelings to your husband or boyfriend is wrong or not according to his mood. Actually conveying your feelings to someone so that he understands it completely is an art and everyone especially the house wives, must know this thing. In this article I am going to give you some tips by which you can convey your feelings in an easy and understandable way.

1.

Communication is important in any relation but there is always a right time for communication when both people are free to listen to each other properly. So try to talk to him while he is not busy in doing something else and free to pay attention completely towards you. If his attention is also towards some other thing and he is in middle of doing something then he will not be able to listen to you or I will say understand you completely.

2.

If you want to discuss some kind of sticky subject like when will he marry you? or why he is partying too much these days? Then always try to avoid eye-to-eye contact with him as it might feel him a bit threatened and he’ll never answer you truly as in such situations men usually runs towards the survival mode and don’t talk straightly about anything.

3.

It has been published in a journal NeuroImage, that male brain interprets men’s voice as speech and women’s voice as music. The reason for this is not very surprising but it’s a fact that women talk about their matters in a very elongated conversation and men on the other hand tries to talk straight and as quick as possible. So if you want your husband/boyfriend to understand your point of view then try to talk as quickest as possible and don’t try to bring supporting ideas to convey your point of view because it makes the conversation pretty boring.

4.

If it is the matter that every time you convey your feelings and they enter from one ear and leaves from the other than you have to change your style. As we know men are quite egoistic and for them their ego is very important so try to talk to them in manner which feeds up their ego as well. Here you’ll need to use a little buttering but it will help in conveying your message to your man’s brain at its fullest.

5.

I am writing this point at the end but it could be the foremost thing which you should do to get him know your feelings and this is the way of talking, don’t talk in a louder tone as it will annoy him at the beginning and he’ll not even pay attention to the rest of matter so try to be polite and calm while talking and first make him comfortable by asking about his day and things like that.

These were some of the communications skills which can get the attention of your partner to convey your feelings to him. A little attention towards your way of talking will make you get listened so try to read the above tips if you feel that your partner doesn’t understand you.
